The bonnet struts on the X5 hadn't been holding that mass of metal up for about 2 years, so new ones were long overdue. Not bad after 420k though. The new ones arrived in a couple of days despite lockdown delivery loads, and have brought the bonnet back up to feeling new again. It now obviously lifts and holds strongly, but also closes with the original thud again (I'd forgotten it used to make that noise instead of a tinny clang). Sure, these may not last as long as the US-made originals, but for the price they seem well engineered and make checking fluids etc. a pleasure again. Time and distance will tell! I'll be buying from you guys again 100%. The only small thing would be to include some installation instructions for anyone not familiar with how they attach. Cheers!
